Project Overview

Richco is currently executing one of its larger active watermain replacement programs for the City of Coquitlam — spanning three streets across the Brunette, Coleman, and Rochester corridors. The project involves the replacement of over 1,180 metres of aging watermain across multiple pipe diameters, with 40 individual service connections and 11 tie-ins to the live existing system requiring precise sequencing to maintain water service to residents throughout construction. The scale and complexity of this multi-street program reflects Richco's capacity to self-perform large municipal utility contracts efficiently and with minimal community disruption.

Scope Highlights

  • 1,182m of new watermain installed across 150mm, 200mm, and 250mm diameters
  • 384m of 50mm Municipex water service
  • 40 service connections complete with meter setters
  • 11 tie-ins to the existing live system
  • Hydrants and air valves throughout
