Project Overview

Following the catastrophic Atmospheric River event of November 2021, Richco was engaged by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change as General Contractor to deliver emergency flood mitigation works along Carratt Creek — mobilizing rapidly ahead of the late fall precipitation window to prevent a second season of flood damage. Working under tight environmental and weather constraints, Richco completed sediment and debris removal, bank restoration, and temporary flood protection within a six-week window from Notice to Proceed to Substantial Completion. The project demonstrated Richco's commitment to responsible scope management on publicly funded emergency work.
