Multi-Sports Facility Site Development

AWARDED

Project Overview

Site preparation and underground servicing for the new Port Coquitlam Multi-Sport Facility. Richco has been awarded to deliver bulk earthworks, full storm, sanitary, and water servicing, and electrical infrastructure to establish base grades and utilities for a future surface-works phase, to be completed on a 40 working day schedule.

Richco has been awarded the site preparation and servicing phase for the City of Port Coquitlam Multi-Sport Facility, the foundational stage of a larger multi-phase development. The scope will establish rough grades and the complete underground utility network required to support subsequent surface works delivered under a separate contract.

Work will begin with site mobilization, traffic control, and erosion and sediment control, followed by clearing and grubbing, topsoil stripping and stockpiling, and disposal of unsuitable materials. Bulk earthworks will include cut and fill operations to achieve rough grade across the site, along with subgrade preparation, proof rolling, and removal and replacement of unsuitable subgrade material.

Servicing scope covers storm drainage (storm piping, catch basins, manholes, channel construction, storm treatment, and detention), sanitary sewer piping with manholes and tie-ins to existing municipal infrastructure, and water servicing including watermain, valves, fittings, and restraints. Service stubs and provisions will be installed for future connections. The electrical scope includes conduit installation and the supply, installation, and commissioning of pole-mounted luminaires complete with poles, bases, wiring, and connections.

Throughout the work, Richco will coordinate grading and service elevations to accommodate the follow-on surface contractor, leaving the site stabilized, drained, and ready for finish grading, paving, concrete works, and landscaping under the next phase.
