Utility Pre-Locates

Richco performs utility pre-locates as a standard part of every contract we undertake, ensuring underground infrastructure is properly identified before any excavation begins. We are also frequently retained by engineering firms, municipalities, and other contractors to complete pre-locates as a standalone scope of work.

Our team coordinates the full BC 1 Call process, liaises with utility owners, and arranges private locates where required, marking gas, water, sewer, hydro, telecommunications, and other buried services with accuracy. This proactive approach protects workers, the public, and critical infrastructure while keeping projects compliant with WorkSafe BC and utility owner requirements.
