Richco was engaged by the Fraser Valley Regional District on an emergency basis in December 2025 to deliver immediate bank stabilization and HESCO flood barrier installation along the Chilliwack River - protecting private properties from imminent overbank flooding during the winter flood season. When a second atmospheric river event struck the region in March 2026, triggering evacuation alerts for dozens of homes along Sheldon Road and prompting provincial emergency coverage, the FVRD called Richco back to raise dyke levels and further improve bank stability along the threatened corridor. The fact that Richco was the crew on the ground when it mattered most - during an active, newsworthy flood emergency - speaks directly to the trust the Fraser Valley Regional District places in Richco's emergency response capability.
