Richco delivered a complex road widening project for the Ministry of Transportation along Beach Road - a Semiahmoo First Nations and archaeologically sensitive site requiring controlled excavation under the continuous supervision of an Archaeological monitor throughout construction. The scope was varied, spanning environmental earthworks, large-diameter HDPE pipe fusion and installation, culvert replacement, preload fill placement, lock block wall construction, and full road restoration including guard rails, barriers, and signage. Spanning nearly a full year from August 2023 to July 2024, the project demanded exceptional crew discipline, regulatory awareness, and the ability to coordinate multiple scopes simultaneously within a culturally protected corridor.
